You’ve got a great story — maybe it’s in your head, on cocktail napkins, or in a rough draft somewhere. What you do know for sure, though, is that someday it’s going to be great! But where do you start? How do you turn this idea — this vision — into a screenplay or, yes, even a novel? Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vet, looking for a fresh perspective or just a refresher, the Save the Catmethod is a great way to make the process of structuring your story easier and more fulfilling.

A native New Yorker, Scott David Strauss moved to Seattle in 1993 to attend the University of Washington Screenwriting Program… and never left. He has written six WGA-registered screenplays and is a founding member of The Seattle Film Network, an organization dedicated to developing film projects and fostering film industry buzz in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to a day job, he is currently involved with the development of a television series project, a short film, and a feature-length screenplay.
